Industrial Design Projects
During my college tenure and co-op experiences, I had the opportunity to work on a diverse range of industrial design projects, honing my skills and gaining hands-on experience in this field, which significantly enriched my academic journey and prepared me for future professional challenges.
At Pragmatic Innovation during my co-op tenure, I worked on a product design project named Pippy Sips, a brand committed to making breastfeeding more convenient and accessible through innovative product design. My involvement centered around research and the creation of concept designs, aimed at simplifying the pumping experience and enhancing the overall practicality of breastfeeding.
Hasbro
During my co-op at Hasbro, I had the opportunity to contribute to the design concepts for notable brands such as Nerf, in addition to crafting new pieces for the iconic Monopoly game and designs for the Speak Out game. These experiences allowed me to play a role in enhancing and evolving some of Hasbro’s most renowned gaming brands.
College Projects
SupplyAid
Senior thesis project inspired by the devastation wrought by Hurricane Irene in Puerto Rico, where I was born and my family resides. Aimed at addressing the inefficiencies in disaster relief, Supplyaid is a platform designed to streamline the provision of disaster relief goods through a build-a-kit model, allowing users to customize a backpack of essential items suitable for specific geological locations affected by natural disasters. The interactive website offers a unique service, where individuals or companies can donate, and beneficiaries receive a pre-prepared pack of vital supplies, a process facilitated by the collaboration of local governments and companies to ensure provision of necessary items.
Kontakt
Konkakt is a toy I designed during college, aimed at nurturing a child’s imagination through interactive building experiences. Made from a soft, bendable material shaped like an ‘H’ with stretchable holes at each end, it encourages children to construct using common household items like pencils, crayons, or even tree branches, promoting creativity and exploratory play.
Vaxt
Vaxt, a college project I undertook, is a plant vessel designed to transform the way plants are cared for, especially while on the move. The design features a water-filled base and a plant-housing vessel on top, facilitating a wicking process for consistent and hassle-free watering of the plant.
Wolf Award
In a college project titled Wolf Award, I was involved in the entire design process, from initial sketching to the final creation. My process involved crafting concepts with foam and wood for mold creation, which was then used to cast the final version in aluminum, resulting in a finished, beautiful product.
